Age 3– Age 4
Our Preschool program is structured around learning centers Math & Science, Practical Life, Manipulatives, Art, and Gross Motor. We follow a weekly calendar of planned activities as the children rotate every half hour to the different learning centers. Our curriculum focuses on beginning letter and number recognition, shapes, and colors. Our academic program is designed to help prepare your child for Pre-Kindergarten.
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem and independence, they want to explore and create more. At Noah’s Ark your preschooler will be given opportunities to explore and create through hands-on experiences in math and science and also lessons that will encourage their curiosity. This will be accomplished through tasks such as putting toys away, dressing themselves, and washing their hands. Another main goal is socialization with other children. We will work on listening to others, helping our friends, manners, following directions, taking turns, sharing, and group activities.
Their morning begins with circle time, and classroom helpers are used to increase self-esteem and independence. Then the children move on to a daily lesson, gym and music time, centers, and dramatic play. There is also a quiet time before lunch with books and puzzles. You will also receive monthly progress reports about your child’s growth and learning. Our center prepares a nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack each day.
The Preschool teachers at Noah’s Ark are committed to engaging your child in a wide range of activities which will prepare them for PreKindergarten and becoming lifelong learners! Our staff is energetic and patient, taking delight in seeing your child learn and grow. Come and tour our Preschool classrooms today!
